MASTERPIECE 2022 | Sarah Myerscough Gallery

30 JUNE – 6 JULY 2022

Bringing together 150 of the world’s top galleries and specialists, Masterpiece has established itself as one of the world’s leading international art fairs, presenting an exceptional week of cultural, culinary and social experiences in the heart of London. Eleanor's work will be exhibited as part of 'Seeing the Forest for the Trees' curated by Sarah Myerscough Gallery.

'Seeing the Forest for the Trees' is an evolving discussion, a dramatic visual argument for entwining the philosophy of environmental sustainability with high-end design and a tactile connection to the natural world. The curation includes fine heirloom objects and furniture crafted from organic materials and grown from practices which prioritise the material legacy and impact of objects.

"Our presentation interrogates assumptions about the value of materials; our artist-designer-makers transform the most humble-seeming of material into works of enduring luxury, problematising what we use, waste and venerate. Domingos Tótora’s work is emblematic of this debate. The entire back wall of our space will host an ambitions 9m installation of his signature material of pulped and sculpted recycled cardboard, sun-dried and dyed with natural earth pigments. This mural will echo the rich terracotta landscape of his native Brazil, where he channels his expansive and revolutionary community-based practice into furniture and objects of innovative and captivating design." - Sarah Myerscough Gallery
